Mercedes Warrick
Mercedes has been on a journey for the last few years. This phase is called “ New Life.” Her past life included earning a master’s degree in Communication Studies from the Greenspun School of Urban Affairs at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and being Director of Retail for the hotel casinos Caesars Palace and the Rio Suites. She moved to the MARS Corporation, first as a consultant, helping to open and design the M&M’s World, 28,000-square-foot retail store, and then moved to the Marketing Department, first as a manager and finally as Vice President of Corporate Communications for their Ethel M. Chocolates Division, located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In her New Life phase, Mercedes is inspired to move toward writing and solo business enterprise. As an entrepreneur, she is discovering the vastness of the Internet and all of the new frontier opportunities to connect with the world. Her passion and drive come from three events (see a Labor of Conviction) that challenged and changed her Visionscape. She received a five-degree shift in her perspective on life. She believes, from her spirit, in the Power of One Breath. Simply put, she says, “We take one breath to live. We exhale one breath to die. Life is the series of breaths in between.” What do we really want? How are we going to get there? How are we going to DO and achieve? She has dedicated the past year to understanding the journey of her mother, a retired solo entrepreneur who raised three children with no assistance from social agencies, and to honoring this new direction given to her after she “got up off of the carpet and survived” a home invasion in 2005.
